2. Oaks Farm, Shirley
With rural rustic charm and a tranquil setting, Oaks Farm is set against a backdrop of rolling hills.
The Stable Barn lined with glowing candles is a romantic setting for your vows. Or maybe you'll marry in the orangery with its fabulous views of the surrounding gardens.
You can also marry outside here - either under the wisteria covered arbour by the pond or in the rustic summer house on the wooden terrace.

This has to be the perfect place to tie the knot if one or either of you are Crystal Palace fans.
Selhurst Park has three packages to suit various budgets and is suitable for all types of weddings, from small gatherings taking place in the sleek and stylish Coppell 2010 to bigger dos in Speroni’s or the Stanley Stephenson Lounge.

4. Hallmark Hotel Croydon Aerodrome, Croydon
With couples attracted by its elegant neoclassical architecture, Hallmark Hotel Croydon Aerodrome has been helping couples celebrate their wedding days since the 1920s.

Up to 200 guests can celebrate with you at a banquet reception in the Centennial Suite at the four-star Croydon Park Hotel.

7. Addington Palace, Addington
Addington Palace is a Grade II* listed Palladian style mansion set in 163 acres of countryside.
This historic site dates back to the days of King Henry VIII and at various different times was home to six Archbishops of Canterbury.
It is now used for weddings, corporate dos and social events where gatherings have exclusive use of the grand venue.
This means if you have your wedding here you will have it to yourselves. You and your guests can also stay here in luxury after the wedding.

9. Imperial Banqueting, Croydon
If you are planning a large wedding reception then Imperial Banqueting could be just the place as it can host up to 450, or 380 seated for dinner.
You can party until up to 2am. Inside, the house decorator can help create a stunning room with decorations such as starlight backdrops, draping, uplighters and LED dance floors.

10. Farleigh Golf Club, Farleigh, near Warlingham
You’ll cruise down the mile-long drive, through 350 acres of Surrey countryside towards the modern clubhouse and walk in through a private entrance which is surrounded by lavender in summer.
All suites used for weddings have panoramic views.
Brides and grooms can take a private golf buggy tour of the grounds and the greenery, pond and vistas of Canary Wharf and the Shard make a great backdrop to your wedding photographs.

11. The Chateau, Croydon
This restaurant and brasserie is also a wedding venue which is licensed for civil ceremonies.
The grand, oak panelled country house overlooking Coombe Wood Gardens has beautiful historic rooms surrounded by lush greenery as the backdrop.
With five functions rooms it can cater for parties of 10 to 110 people. For grand occasions the whole venue is available for up to 300 guests.

12. Woldingham Golf Club, Woldingham

13. Chipstead Golf Club, Chipstead
The venue has been renovated by its new owners. It is in a picturesque setting and the renovations have made the most of the beautiful views from the function room where your wedding reception will be held.
There is a new balcony running along the front of the building where you and your guests can sit outside and enjoy a drink as you admire the views.
It can host up to 100 people sitting down for a formal meal and up to 125 people for a buffet.

14. Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa, Nutfield, near Redhill
The four-star country house hotel and spa down the road from us in Redhill was inspired by the Neo-Gothic splendour of the Palace of Westminster and dates back to 1872.
You could take over the whole house – the lounges and garden terraces, restaurants and bedrooms – for your wedding or choose one of the period rooms.
