Do I have to answer CBSA questions? ›
At the request of a CBSA officer, any traveller or employee within or exiting a CCA is required to identify themselves, truthfully answer questions asked by the officer, and present goods for examination.
What is my Canadian port of entry? ›Usually the Port of Entry that you come through will be the first airport or land crossing that you stop at in Canada. For example, if your last stop is Winnipeg but you first arrive in Vancouver, your Port of Entry is Vancouver International Airport.

must submit their mandatory information in ArriveCAN before, or when, entering Canada at a marine port of entry; must report to the CBSA; must be admissible under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and. are subject to all of Canada's COVID-19 border and health requirements.
Canada Border Services Agency ( CBSA ) officers are allowed to examine all goods you have with you when you cross the border. This means that just like your luggage, our officers can examine your cell phones, tablets, laptops and any other digital device you are carrying.

Vessels must report and clear in with CBP upon entry to U.S. waters by reporting in-person; OR by reporting arrival with the CBP ROAM App; OR by telephone with one of the trusted traveler programs like Nexus. You will need your Cruising License number when reporting in with CBP.

You can claim goods worth up CAN$800 without paying any duty and taxes. You must have the goods with you when you enter Canada. Although you can include some tobacco products and alcohol, a partial exemption may apply to cigarettes, tobacco products and manufactured tobacco.
